Connect your AI to your game servers

MineStrator runs an official MCP server (Model Context Protocol): your AI assistant (Claude, Cursor, Codex…) can diagnose, configure and manage your servers. With your authorization, under your control.

Your server copilot

What your AI can do

Once connected, your AI works on your servers like a seasoned administrator: it observes, suggests and acts on your request.

Diagnose issues

Live status, console logs, crashes and usage spikes: your AI tracks the problem to its cause.

Edit your configurations

Direct read and write access to server.properties, plugin files and all your configs.

Install content

Versions, plugins, mods, modpacks and worlds, with versions picked to match your server.

Back up and restore

On-demand snapshots, automatic daily backups and live tracking of every restoration.

Manage your MyBox

Create, resize or pause servers: computing power goes exactly where you need it.

Act in the console

Commands, restarts and player moderation: the AI executes while you keep full control.

More than 60 tools across 9 families cover the whole catalogue: Minecraft of course, plus every other game on your MyBox.

Ready in two minutes

Plug in your assistant

Signed in? Your commands are generated for you below. Otherwise, two steps are all it takes.

Sign in to generate your API key and your connection commands

Once signed in, your connection commands are prepared here with your key, ready to paste into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and more.

1

Create your API key

From your client area, in the account's API keys section. The value shown is ready to use: copy it as is. Create a key dedicated to your AI rather than reusing another one. Open my client area

Using claude.ai or ChatGPT? No key to create: the connection uses direct authorization, skip to step 2.

2

Add MineStrator to your AI client

Pick your software, then paste your key in place of YOUR_API_KEY. The tools show up in your next session.

Claude Code (Terminal)

claude mcp add --transport http minestrator https://mcp.sttr.io/minestrator \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

Different client? Any MCP-compatible software (HTTP transport) connects with the same URL and authorization header.

Good to know

The key copied from your client area (or generated above) is already in the expected format. No processing needed. Paste it as is, without spaces or line breaks.

Security

You stay in control

Your rights, nothing more. These safeguards are always on.

A key you can revoke anytime

Delete the key from your client area and the AI's access stops immediately.

Your permissions apply

The AI only holds your account's rights, and every action is logged in your history.

Confirmation before sensitive actions

Deletion, restoration, resets: the AI states the consequence and waits for your approval.

Access on your terms

Read-only mode for observation, tool families on demand: only expose what you want to hand over.

Day to day

Just talk to it

No syntax to learn. Describe what you need as you would to an administrator, the AI picks the right tools.

Frequently asked

Your questions about the MCP server

Any MCP-compatible client over HTTP transport: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, VS Code and Gemini CLI all work with the same configuration. Web connectors (claude.ai, ChatGPT) are also supported: simply add the server URL to your assistant's connectors, a MineStrator window opens to authorize access, no key to copy needed.

Yes, the MCP server is included for every MineStrator customer, with no add-on or extra cost. Standard API usage limits apply.

Safeguards are on by default: mandatory confirmation before destructive actions, a safety snapshot before any server deletion, explicit refusals and a full activity log. You can also connect your AI in read-only mode to start.

Every server on your MyBox: Minecraft, plus the whole catalogue. Content installation adapts to the game (Minecraft plugins and mods, Hytale mods, Steam Workshop mods for compatible games).

In your client area, in the account's API keys section. The value shown is ready for your AI client: copy it as is. The key is personal and can be revoked at any time: if in doubt, delete it and create a new one.

Check that the key was pasted without spaces or line breaks, and that it is the value copied from your client area. Easiest path: sign in on this page and use the commands generated above, the key is already embedded. As a last resort, create a new key and replace the old one.

Yes, on two levels: read-only mode (append ?readonly=1 to the server URL) restricts the AI to observation, and tool families (?toolsets=core, files for instance) only expose the domains you choose. A key created by a sub-account additionally inherits its reduced permissions.

Yes, by design: those credentials let it configure a plugin or an application for you. If you would rather not, exclude the databases tool family from your connection, and change the password from the panel after an intervention if you prefer.

Ready to hand your AI the keys?

Create your API key and connect your assistant in two minutes. Not a customer yet? Every MyBox includes it.
