How to Install Blueprints on a Satisfactory Dedicated Server (2026)

Satisfactory server blueprints: upload .sbp/.sbpcfg via SFTP to /SaveGames/blueprints/<world_name>/ in 2026. Restart, then place builds (B).

Want to share your factory designs without rebuilding everything block by block for two hours? That’s exactly what blueprints are for. On a Satisfactory dedicated server, they let you import ready-to-use layouts (factories, hubs, production lines) so your whole crew can place them in-game.

In this 2026 guide, you’ll learn how to download a blueprint, upload it to your server via SFTP, and store it in the right folder so it shows up in the Blueprint menu (default key: B).

If you’re also tuning performance for bigger builds, you can pair this with your hosting setup on our supported games list to keep things smooth when your factory goes full spaghetti.

Find a server-compatible Satisfactory blueprint

First, you need the blueprint file itself. You can grab blueprints from community hubs like SatisfactoryTools, Reddit, or dedicated Discord servers. Most blueprints come as .sbp files, and sometimes you’ll also get a .sbpcfg file.

Download the file(s) to your PC, then double-check they match your server version. A blueprint made for a different game version may not appear in the menu, or it can behave weirdly once placed.

📝 Note: If the blueprint relies on modded buildings, your server and all players must use the exact same mods.

Connect to your server via SFTP

To install a blueprint, you must upload it into the server’s save directories. Connect using WinSCP or FileZilla by following this guide: https://minestrator.com/blog/article/gestion-serveur-winscp-filezilla.

Next, enable hidden files in WinSCP. Click the yellow gear, then go to Panels → Show hidden files. Without this, key folders can stay invisible and you’ll think the server “ate” your blueprint.

💡 Tip: If you can’t see /.config/, it’s almost always a hidden-files display setting.

Create the correct blueprints folder

Once connected in SFTP, you’ll work inside Satisfactory’s save folders. Your goal is to create (if needed) the exact folder tree that stores blueprints for your world.

Follow these steps in order:

  1. Open /.config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/

  2. Create the blueprints folder if it doesn’t exist

  3. Inside blueprints, create a folder named exactly like your save

In the end, you should have this path: /.config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/blueprints//.

🚨 Important: The folder name must match your world name exactly, or the blueprints won’t show up in-game.

Find the exact name of your save

To get the correct , go to: /.config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/server/. You’ll see autosaves named like: _autosave_0.sav.

You only need the part. Use that exact name when creating the folder inside blueprints.

Upload .sbp and .sbpcfg files

Open your final folder: /.config/Epic/FactoryGame/Saved/SaveGames/blueprints//. Then drag and drop your blueprint files (.sbp and/or .sbpcfg) into it, and wait for the transfer to complete.

When the upload is done, start (or restart) your server. Players can then open the Blueprint menu in-game (default: B) and place the newly available designs.

⚠️ Warning: Avoid uploading while the server is writing a save. Do it with the server stopped, then restart.

Quick checks before your team builds

Blueprints are a massive time-saver, but a few quick checks will prevent co-op chaos. Before you announce “OK, build time!”, make sure everything is consistent for all players.

Questions frequent

Why don’t my blueprints show up in-game?

Most of the time, the folder name doesn’t match your save name exactly, or the files were uploaded to the wrong path. Recheck .../SaveGames/blueprints// and confirm hidden folders like /.config/ are visible in your SFTP client.

Do I need to restart the Satisfactory server?

Yes, a restart is recommended so the server properly loads the new blueprint files. Upload the files with the server stopped when possible, then restart to avoid save conflicts.

Can players use blueprints if they don’t have mods installed?

If the blueprint uses modded parts, players must have the same mods installed, and the server must run them too. Otherwise, the blueprint may not appear, or it may place with missing or broken elements.

Conclusion

To install blueprints on your Satisfactory server, download the .sbp/.sbpcfg files, connect via SFTP, and upload them into .../SaveGames/blueprints//. After a restart, they’ll be available in-game for everyone through the Blueprint menu.
